Unit 14 D1

D1 Unit 14

Htc Features:
4.7inch screen
highly responsive touch screen
8mp camera
6 hour battery life
I also think that the HTC sensation xl is a very good phone and it could also be used by the student but I chose the Samsung galaxy s2 as the battery last longer so the student can access the internet while he has long days at school but otherwise they are very similar.

 Nokia tablet features:
3 hour battery life
width 3inches
bluetooth

I think the nokia tablet could also be used by the reporter because it is small light and would take photographs and he could just simply send them but the only problem is that the iPod 2 has a better camera and seeing how this is so important to the photographer I chose the ipad 2

 Ipod touch features:
highly responsive touch screen
apple aplications
8gb memory
internet acssesable
camera
The ipod touch is a very good choice and I would have chosen this over the Sony walkman but I had to take the owner into consideration and the factory worker could be not very good with technology and the walkman has a larger memory

 Apple laptop features:
camera
quick internet
you can link with other apple products
video calls
I chose the hp pavilion over the apple laptop as the pavilion its easier to work and it has a better camera for video calls this is overall better for the builder as he does not know a lot about technology

Unit 14 D2

I USED BLUETOOTH bECAUSE EVEN THOUGH IT IS SLOWER IT IS safer, more EFFECTIVE AND IT ALWAYS GOES THROUGH AS LONG AS YOU GIVE IT  TIME. ANOTHER GOOD thing IS THAT ITS FREE BUT THERE ARE A FEW bad POINTs SUCH AS YOU CANNOT connect with THE PHONES FAR AWAY FROM EACH OTHER SO YOU ARE LIMITED TO WHAT YOU CAN DO UNTIL IT SENDS BUT IT IS THE EASIEST WAY FOR starters AS IT IS SIMPLE AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO a lot.

Unit 1 D1

Risks And Safety Issues With Social Networking Sites

There are issues with social networking sites, some of the problems are to do with safety. Some issues are that with social networking sites such as Facebook have advertisements and sometimes pop ups which is a problem because some links and pop ups send viruses to your computers but sometimes they cannot be prevented. Something that can be prevented is the amount of people that give crucial information out such as : if they  are going to be on holiday or some company information sometimes you just need to think about what you are typing and the possible repercussions and safety issues and that would rapidly decrease. You should also not click on links unless you know its appropriate or you might get a virus. There are also people who are key loggers who when you have clicked a link can see what you are typing so they can see information about you like pin codes and passwords, this can be prevented by not clicking on unfamiliar advertisements or websites.

Unit 14 M3

The mechanisms taking place in p6 are individual passwords so this stops piggybacking and war driving. Once this is in place the likely of this happening is next to none. This is because your password is safe. Also the way to stop phone hacking is to put a password on your phone but don’t make it obvious like your D.O.B etc. This will therefore stop your phone data being stolen. You should run scans frequently to make sure you are safe. You also can stop social problems in the work place.
This can be stopped by using a work place policy which allows you to go on websites like facebook but if it's distracting your work you get sacked. Or another way to stop it is to ban websites that might distract the workers.

unit 14 M2

The main difference between 3g and wifi is the speed of the network, wifi is generally a lot faster than 3g. This is because you are closer to it so the signal is stronger. But with 3g you are always connected but it is kind of slow. Wifi is good because it allows you to access all areas of the internet a lot faster than 3g would allow you to. Although 3g is faster for emails. Another difference is that sending a picture message over 3g cost £1.50 whereas with wifi it is free.

Unit 1 M2

Threats and Risks of using It

With using It in a large business the risks are that many different kinds of viruses can occur. Viruses are bad for your computer because they can damage them. Viruses can be used to let someone display your personal details over the internet without you knowing. Also people can hack into your webcam and watch you all day. Viruses can slow your computer down and a huge thing is identity theft which can easily do this to a large company.

Some other risks are that cyber bullying for example can occur. This is when someone gets bullied over the internet on for example facebook. Also keyloggers can hack in to your computer and take your password etc. Also you need to watch out because if you by accident leave facebook for example logged on people can write things on your wall or to other people.

Blogspot is good because if you are like me and are uploading work that is easily visible and if your teacher posts a comment on it sends you a notification to let you know about this. It will save you space because there are no books needed. If you have internet access on a laptop or phone it is visible around the world. Also this makes it eco friendly because you don’t use paper. Also with it being accessible from your home you can do unfinished work at home. It is also good fun as with your blog space and work you can change backgrounds. The work you upload is also instantly viewable to any viewer.
